SumoStack AI provides AI-powered receptionist services to dental practices. As part of that service, we collect and process call data on behalf of the dental practices we work with. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it protected.

Information We Collect

When our AI receptionist answers a call for a dental practice, we may collect:

  • Caller name
  • Phone number
  • Reason for visit
  • Appointment preferences
  • Call recordings

How We Store and Protect Data

All data is stored on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. We maintain signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with the dental practices we serve and with our subcontractors, so patient information is handled in line with HIPAA requirements at every step.

Emergency Alert Phone Numbers

Phone numbers collected for emergency alerts are used solely for sending urgent after-hours notifications to on-call dental providers. We do not use these numbers for marketing or any other purpose.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, share, or distribute mobile phone numbers or any patient data to third parties. Information is used only to deliver the service to the dental practice it belongs to.

SMS / Text Message Notifications

  • Messages are sent for emergency notifications only — typically fewer than 5 per month.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can opt out of emergency text alerts at any time through the practice dashboard or by replying STOP.

We do not share, sell, or distribute mobile phone numbers, messaging consent, or messaging opt-in data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
